There are times when I’m just not in the mood to be marketing and I end up just writing about it (I think a lot). I have this idea in my head that I am a marketing genius. This is a sentiment that I have never experienced in real life. I’ve always thought that what I’m good at is creating other people’s ideas, but I just haven’t been given that opportunity.
I think part of what makes a good marketing person is that they can create ideas in the minds of others and then sell them to others. I think this is what Im good at. I like to think that Im also in the top 1% of the marketing world and this is the part I have never had the chance to prove to the marketing world that I am.
The fact is that you can’t market yourself at all without being a good communicator. You gotta be able to build relationships with people so that you can communicate with them well enough to get the message out. I can think of the most successful marketers of all time. Bill Gates. Steve Jobs. Mark Zuckerberg. The list goes on. So marketing is a skill that you learn over time. And it’s a skill that you can apply to any job that you want.
We don’t really think about marketing and advertising that much, but I think there are some aspects of marketing that are just as important as others. In marketing, advertising, and communications, I think its important to have a good sense of how to communicate. It can be a bit of a struggle, but I always try to find ways to improve myself, so I can communicate better.
So marketing is just about your personal brand, how you interact with the world, and the way that you do it. You also have to think about how you communicate with the people who are buying and using your products. If your brand is good and you communicate with your customers well, they will continue to trust you, and you will build more and more confidence in your product.
