Marketing is one of those topics that seems to have a lot of misconceptions. I don’t mean to imply that marketing is bad. In fact, marketing is just one tool in the toolbox of any marketing campaign. It’s simply one of the tools that makes your marketing plan work.
Marketing is a method of selling. The way I see it, marketing is the method of getting your message out to the world so as to influence your target audience. Marketing is a type of communication. You can think of marketing as a speech or a message, either one that you impart to someone.

Sure, we can all pretend that the sun is a red giant, but that doesn’t mean that’s the truth. Marketing doesn’t have to have a message, it can just let you say whatever you want.

We’ve had a few of these marketing pieces, and we’ve all had one of these messages go down the wrong path. It’s just a fact of life that marketing is a fickle endeavor and people change their minds about what they think might work about a certain product or service all the time.
